Bend BreakOut Event

Bend Outdoor Worx (BOW), Central Oregon’s outdoor industry accelerator, announces the return of BOW BreakOut, a pitch event created solely for outdoor companies and BOW BootCamp sessions. For 2022, the four early or growth-stage companies, which made up BOW’s most recent cohort (Cohort #7), are preparing to pitch at the culmination of the program on stage at Open Space Event Studios during the BreakOut event.  The companies received mentorship over a period of four months from BOW’s industry founders and guest mentors. They will compete for cash no-strings-attached prizes. 

As part of the evening’s entertainment curated for outdoor enthusiasts and entrepreneurs, Keynote speaker Stephen Sullivan, the CEO/Founder of Stio will present. Stio, a mountain lifestyle brand headquartered in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, has a thriving direct-to-consumer business and seven storefronts, with a new Mountain Studio retail location in Bend. 

BOW will host BootCamp sessions from 9am -2:15pm, a series of educational events to give start-up businesses the knowledge and tools to help them advance to the next level. Panelists include top industry experts and will highlight sessions on funding, digital sales and marketing and founders’ stories.
