About This Event
What’s next on Greenwood Ave and Second Street? Come to an open house June 18 to learn more
We heard your comments in April about what you’d like to see improved on Greenwood Avenue. Join us to learn about the final plan for the Greenwood Avenue quick-build and first phase improvements to Second Street that will be happening this summer and fall. On June 18th, project designers and city staff will be available to provide information and answer questions.
When: June 18, 2024, 4:30 – 6:30 pm
Where: Open Space Event Studios, 220 NE Lafayette Ave, Bend, OR 97701
Online option: June 11 – 25 at www.bendoregon.gov/midtowncrossings
This open house is a part of the Midtown Crossings Project, which will improve east-west travel between downtown and the Central District and includes improvements to four key connectors in the area:
- Greenwood Avenue: Corridor and undercrossing quick-build improvements for bike safety and long-term planning
- Franklin Avenue: Corridor and undercrossing improvements
- Second Street: Streetscape improvements to meet urban standards (wider sidewalks, street trees, curb extensions)
- Hawthorne Overcrossing: Preliminary design for a new pedestrian and bicycle bridge
Can’t make it in-person? An online version of the open house information is available now from our project website between June 11 and 25. Learn more at www.bendoregon.gov/midtowncrossings
P.S. Save the date! Join the conversation for the new Hawthorne Overcrossing on July 10th. We are hosting an Open House from 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm at Campfire Hotel.
